Kevin Manning

Kevin Manning has been creating artwork since his youth. His education includes an A. A. from Brevard Community College, several semesters both at the University of Kansas and Florida State University, and he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of South Florida.

After exploring many mediums, he has found his favorites to be carbon charcoal pencil drawings, and ceramics, particularly the Raku process.

His drawings are so realistic, it often takes a second look to be sure that they are in fact drawings and not black and white photographs.

He recently spent several years with Jay Gogin, building, developing and teaching at the Key West Community College ceramics department, which is now a premier studio offering workshops from such masters as Paul Soldner and the late Peter Voulkos.
